NPI Purchasing Manager- UK Based
The suitable candidate will be accountable for delivery of a robust Supply Chain for development platforms in in the company rotating machines business line.  Lead a dedicated purchasing team and be a strong contributing member of Integrated cross functional project teams.  Responsible to source suppliers that bring the required technologies to support the business roadmap and ensure current supply chains product delivery is in line with the project needs. Ensure that product designs meet the required business cost and quality requirements.
-          Leadership and management of 4-6 employees
-          Be accountable for the provision of supply chains for all new developments
-          Be responsible to implement a design for manufacture mind set and tracking through the project
-          Be accountable to ensure that the project budget and product forecast cost is achieved or bettered.
-          Identify relevant emergent technologies
-          Identify and manage risk in the supply chain
-          Ensure that a managed APQP  industrialisation process is followed in line with PPAP / DVI requirements
-          Work to compressed/accelerated timescales to source parts and suppliers to bring the product to market/meet customer expectations
-          Facilitate technical discussions and negotiation with suppliers to prioritise and fast track parts balancing risk with design fluidity
-          Be responsive where new development requirements change to negotiate, influence and innovate with the supplier
-          Previous experience working within a low volume high tech aerospace or automotive industry.
-          Proven experience within Purchasing, Project or Programme management in an engineering environment.
-          Must be experienced in managing supplier projects with interface with customers periodically.
