Injection Moulding Production Manager
The Injection Moulding Production Manager will report to the Group Operations The Manager will be responsible for settting up and managing the overall activities of the moulding department including but not limited to production, processing, machine maintenance and tool maintenance and repair.
·       Co- ordinate Process Development and Validation of Injection Moulds including prototyping and pilot manufacture, process validations (VMP, IQ, OQ, PQ etc).
·       Direct customer liaison including quotations, project management and customer communications.
·       Direct and coordinate planning and scheduling of moulding manufacturing to consistently meet expected product delivery schedules and inventory levels.
·       Responsible for assuring the efficient use of materials, machines, moulds, auxiliary equipment, and employees
·       Responsible for the development and implementation of both the long- and short-term goals for the Moulding Department.
·       Troubleshoot mould processes, machines, and auxiliary equipment problems and make necessary changes to ensure quality and reduce downtime.
·       Ensure moulding process parameters are optimised and maintained to ensure product meets dimensional and quality requirements.
·       Provide technical assistance to moulding technicians and operators.
·       Provide leadership in the maintenance of all operational systems and process controls associated with mould processing, mould maintenance, equipment maintenance and repair. (Documented mould set ups, process intervention logs, product dimensional and visual evaluations supporting product requirements, product validations, etc.).
·       Hire, train and develop moulding team to provide a full moulding service in a high technology environment.
·       Promote employee understanding and adherence to safety regulations and the Quality Management System.
·        Knowledge of Medical Device or similar quality and manufacturing systems is required.
·       Equipment knowledge and process experience for injection moulding and/or polymer extrusion.
·       Working knowledge of Six - Sigma and/or Lean Engineering principles with a proven track record in use and delivery of results.
·       Knowledge of Mould Principles disciplines, tool design and polymer science
·       Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills.
·       Motivated to work on own initiative.
·       Ability to make and Implement decisions.
·         Good interpersonal and communication skills   including customer relationships.
·       Extensive understanding and with experience in performing manufacturing process validations.
·  Attend various meetings, action and communicate instructions.
· Undertake continuous training and development
Qualification, Experience and Training:
·       Education and Experience Minimum of 7 years injection moulding experience with at least 3 years in a lead technical or mould department management role.
·     Aptitude for problem solving, computers and  mechanics.
·     Attention to detail.
·     Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team of toolmakers, engineers, and senior management.
