Operations Solutions / Software Engineer
The Operations Solutions team delivers software applications used throughout the manufacturing organization targeting the industrialization and production management of company products. Those solutions are deployed across the globe, at company sites and also at suppliers and contract manufacturer production sites. Those solutions cover all product lines (credentials, tags, readers, panel, token, printer etc) and various aspect of the production processes (like provisioning, labelling, packaging, reporting, traceability managements).
You will be responsible for Operations Solutions sustaining and support activities for the HID facility located in Galway.
The team activities include:
·           Platform customization
·           Shop floor process analysis and implementation
·           Machine Solution integration and deployment
·           Implement smartcard profiles for existing technologies (NPI / SPO)
·           Sustaining Activities
·           Level 2 Support
Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
·           Work with the local team to pro-actively implement industrial solutions leveraging Operations Solutions platform.
·           Handle the full development/validation/documentation cycles.
·           Identify solutions contributing to overall manufacturing process improvements.
·           Migrate legacy tools and processes under standardized platforms
·           Maintain security standards for the site and products.
·           Interact with local IT team to setup proper infrastructure.
·           Comply with department overarching architecture and processes guidelines.
·           Provide level 2 support to local manufacturing team.
·           Keep tight deadlines for software enhancements to match product development schedules.
Education and/or Experience
·           Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering required.
·           Minimum 3 years&rsquo experience with software and solution developments, ideally used in industrial applications.
Knowledge and skills
·           Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic environment.
·           Must have working experience with the following:
o      Strong C# background (3 years minimum), .Net, ASP.NET, HTML, JSON, XML, etc.
o      Microsoft Visual Studio, Mercurial, Jira/Confluence.
·           Must demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills.
·           Expertise in applied cryptography and key management is greatly appreciated.
·           Knowledge of RFID industry standards such as ISO7816, ISO14443, ISO15693 is greatly appreciated.
·           Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, verbally and in writing.
·           Travel and fieldwork including international travel. Therefore, employee must possess or can acquire a valid passport.
·           Must be legally eligible to work in Ireland
