Production Control Analyst

SUMMARY:-

The Production Control Department contributes to increased levels of Customer Satisfaction and improved Operations Efficiency through focused Order Management methods, Cross Functional Order Issue Resolution, ATP Management, Capacity Analysis / Planning and Production Scheduling. Additionally, the Production Control Department assists with Sales and Operations revenue alignment by conducting regular analysis of month-to-date revenue, order backlog, at risk orders plus consideration of future orders to project end of month revenue position. As a member of this Team, the Production Control Analyst will be responsible for contributing to the success of the aforementioned areas of responsibility by providing support to the Manager and the Scheduler in terms of business continuity, and improving service levels to internal and therefore external customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

·         Provide primary backup for a proportion of Manager and all Scheduler activities, to improve departmental continuity during periods of holiday, sickness or demand spike

·         Facilitator of the Back Log Meeting learn process and execute real-time actions as required

o    Examples include but not limited to email inquiry, inventory inquiry, version history research, etc.

·         Implement measures and/or observe patterns in Backlog to minimize requirement for manual scheduling

·         Management of ATP data through collaboration with Procurement department, to ensure scheduling is consistent and aligned to material availability, production capacity and shipping capacity

·         Support Production Control Manager through daily and periodic revenue alignment tracking, and delivering finished data sets to illustrate clearly the business revenue plan vs. actuals

·         Take ownership of existing ad hoc reports, and develop new reporting methods (including from both financial and capacity planning perspectives)

·         Log and analyse OTD failures, identifying patterns and opportunities for improvement in both Order Management KPI&rsquos (including OTD, lead time, scheduling accuracy)

·         Lead cross functional collaborative meetings on subjects including allocation decisions with Procurement, Sales and Heads of Business Operations

·         Act as primary point of contact for enquiries and expedites, and where required, escalate to appropriate levels of management.

 

Education / Experience, Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

·         Experience with Oracle ERP programs preferred

·         Familiarity with Agile PLM is preferred

·         Adept in spreadsheet analysis and formal presentation, specifically with use of pivot tables and charts

·         Detailed knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel and Visio

·         Expertise in data analysis methods &ndash Trend, Pareto

·         Proficiency in data presentation to an audience, to illustrate and communicate key points and articulate ideas in a clear, concise and persuasive manner.

·         University / College qualifications that demonstrate proficiencies in problem solving and data analysis

·         Must have an innate desire for Continuous Improvement and thrive on both challenge & change

·         Ability to perform daily tasks without Management oversight

·         Must be willing to frequently communicate and collaborate across functional boundaries, while supporting established process and team decisions.

·         Must have a desire to provide the customer with high quality products, on time, every time.

·         Understand and actively demonstrate the principles of HID Global customer centricity policy.

·         Embrace mistakes as learning opportunities in the context of containment and corrective action
