Infrastructure Systems Engineer
As one of the technical advisors, the Infrastructure Systems Engineer is a pioneer in the technology field providing technical expertise, install, maintain and oversee various systems, network applications and initiatives for cloud and security in response to business needs.
·         Installation, upgrading and troubleshooting of hardware and                                  software where required.
·         Maintain and troubleshoot data communications systems.
·         Support technology and security initiatives.
·         Support cloud adoption plan.
·         Analyze, and support security functions.
·         Develop test plans and execute processes following project timelines for               various projects.
·         Assist and review technical requirements for hardware and software to                  meet business needs. Stay abreast of how technology infrastructures are              currently impacting and shaping the industry.
·         Strong understanding of security solutions and best practices.
·         Create, update and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
·         Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common                        network  problems.
·         Upgrade network hardware and software components as required.
·         VMWare and SAN administration, upgrades and troubleshooting.
·         Solve complex problems with many variables.
·         Provide level 3 technical support to Shared Services and troubleshooting              where appropriate.
·         Rack datacentre hardware including servers, network devices and storage             systems including cable management.
Education & Experience required
·       A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is                  mandatory
·       Minimum 4-5 years work experience as part of a Global IT team                             with cloud and security initiatives experience.
·       Strong communication skills for customers and team members
·       Excellent troubleshooting skills
·       Intermediate knowledge of networks
·       Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems including clustering
·       Excellent knowledge of AWS, VMWare and security solutions
·       Ability to work as part of a global team
·       Working experience with Commvault
·       Experience with GDPR initiatives
·       Certification in key role aspects (AWS, VMWare, Security)
·       Experience with Pure Storage and NetApp
·       Microsoft SQL Server Failover Clustering
