ADAS SIMULATION ENGINEER 
Description
 
The mission of the ADAS Simulation Engineer is to design and develop simulation systems which are used in the validation of Automated parking and ADAS systems.
The role of simulation in ADAS development and test is key in order to bring ADAS features to the market in the correct timeframe with the appropriate level of safety guaranteed.
Responsibilities
Develop and integrate sensor models, interfaces, and simulation tools to create complete vehicle MIL/SIL/HIL.
Focusing on camera sensor simulation, design and develop appropriate sensor models which align to clients optics pipeline.
Integrate sensor models to the wider Validation systems used on site.
Supports the efforts to bring the simulation environment as close as possible to 
reality providing benchmarks and reports on findings
Interface with Autonomous Vehicle design and testing activities to understand simulation needs and functional requirements.
Support the specification/requirements phase for defining sensor simulation
Participate in Technology/Supplier/Test tool ion for new projects keeping abreast of the latest technologies and features.
Generate Design for Test (DFT) solutions followed by system requirements and ensure they are included as part of the project deliveries.
Train and support users in the successful usage of the test environments.
Work with suppliers and customers to define a model sharing process following industry best practices.
Link to clients networks on simulation topics keeping a wider 
 
Qualifications
 
A relevant Technical Engineering Degree e.g. Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, etc
Automotive development/validation experience required.
1-3 Years&rsquo experience in simulation, specifically in camera sensor modelling design and development.
1-3 Years&rsquo experience in C, C++ or Matlab.
Experience with sensors and sensor models: camera, ultrasonic, Radar, laser, etc. an advantage
Experience with advanced SW and HW architectures (uC, FPGA). 
Experience in using vehicle simulation SIL and HIL tools with components such as National Instruments, IPG Carmaker and Vector is an advantage.
Demonstrated planning, analytical, and leadership skills to successfully develop, execute and document technical projects is desirable.
Experience with vision system development and integration into HiL systems an advantage.
 
Basic experience in image processing and computer vision algorithms required.
